Digital Pressure Gauge

Digital Pressure Gauge

Ace Digital Differential Pressure Gauge

Digital Pressure Gauge used to measure and display pressure in an integral unit. A good example is a manometer as it uses a column of liquid to both measure and indicates pressure. Pressure measurement is the analysis of an applied force by a fluid on a surface. Pressure is typically measured in units of force per unit of surface area. Many techniques have been developed for the measurement of pressure and vacuum

Types of pressure gauges:

Gauge Pressure:
Gauge which is analysed by a force applied by a fluid on the surface.

Absolute Pressure:
Absolute pressure is measured relative to the absolute zero pressure/relation to vacuum or briefly, we can define as total system pressure. Its uses absolute zero as its zero points. Absolute pressure comes with full precision. Usually used for scientific experiments & calculation.

Atmospheric Pressure:
Atmospheric pressure definition, the pressure exerted by the earth's atmosphere at any given point, is the product of the mass of the atmospheric column of the unit area above the given point and of the gravitational acceleration at the given point. It is created by the weight of the atmosphere which surrounds the earth up to a height of approx. 500 km.

Differential Pressure:
Differential pressure is the difference in pressure between two points in a process. A differential pressure gauge means that operators do not need to constantly monitor two separate gauges and determine the difference in readings.

Applications:
Differential pressure gauges are used in many industries as part of control systems for filtration, liquid levels, and liquid flow. McDVoice

What Units are used to measure pressure:

The units used most commonly to measure pressure are pounds per square inch (psi), bar, and millibar (mbar). The International Standard unit for pressure is the pascal (Pa), Newton over a square meter (N/m2). Pressure can also be measured in atmospheres (atm), inches of mercury (in. Hg), millimetres of mercury (mm Hg), and torr (about 133.3 Pa).

About Winters Digital Pressure Gauge:

Winters Digital pressure gauge uses advanced sensors to display highly accurate pressure readings on a digital indicator. Digital gauges offer the number of features that make them good looking and mostly applicable for a number of industries. Though generally more Classy than analogue gauges. Easy to readout the value due to this digital in nature.

Winters make Digital Pressure Gauge has a continuous reading, Backlight turns on when on/off button is pressed and with pressure changes. Its selectable engineering units are psi, bar, kg/cm2, MPa. Comparatively, having a count to read the value, winter gauge provide resolutions making them ideal for very low pressures or by a step pressure changes, which would be impossible to identify with an analog gauge.

Features of Digital Pressure Gauge

  • Simple 2 button operation
  • Reset to zero feature
  • ±1% accuracy (±0.5% optional for gauges up to 10,000 psi)
  • Backlight turns on when on/off button is pressed
  • Option for display to remain continuously on
  • Continuous Peak pressure indication option
  • 316L welded diaphragm seal
  • The rubber boot is standard
  • ASME B40.100 compliant
  • 1 year warranty

Things to consider when selecting a Pressure Gauge:

  1. The type and range of the pressure?
  2. Accuracy required?
  3. Units of measurement to be chosen?
  4. Need to check with the process connection required?
  5. Preferred dial size used for your application.
  6. Is an output required and types of output required.
