Siemens QPM2100 Carbon dioxide duct sensor optimizes room comfort by allowing for demand-controlled ventilation. The sensors may acquire concentrations of CO2 and volatile organic compounds ( VOC), relative humidity, and temperature. The sensor assesses concentrations of CO2 / VOC and transforms it into a linearly proportional output signal of 0 to 10 Vdc. A capacitive wetness sensing element changes capacitance as a function of relative humidity for models with humidity.

The sensors may acquire concentrations of CO2 and volatile organic compounds ( VOC), relative humidity, and temperature. The sensor assesses concentrations of CO2 / VOC and transforms it into a linearly proportional output signal of 0 to 10 Vdc. A capacitive wetness sensing element changes capacitance as a function of relative humidity for models with humidity. An electronic measuring circuit converts the moisture signal to a continuous signal of 0 to 10 Vdc corresponding to a relative humidity range of 0 to 100%. For temperature models, the sensor acquires room temperature with a sensing element which changes the electrical resistance depending on the temperature. The resistance is transformed to an active 0 to 10 Vdc output signal corresponding to 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C) or -31°F to 95°F (-35°C to 35°C) temperature range.
