Hanna CM-8822 Coating Thickness Gauge uses the magnetic induction principle to measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on ferrous substrates. The magnetic induction principle works by measuring the change in magnetic field that occurs when a magnetic probe is brought into close proximity to a ferrous substrate. The thickness of the coating is then calculated based on the change in magnetic field.
