Hanna CM-8822 Coating Thickness Gauge is a portable, nondestructive testing (NDT) instrument used to measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on ferrous substrates. It has a wide measuring range of 0 to 1250 µm (0 to 50 mils) and a high accuracy of ±(1% of reading + 1 µm). The gauge features a large, easy-to-read display and a variety of measurement modes, including single, continuous, and differential. It also has a built-in memory for storing up to 100 readings.

Hanna CM-8822 Coating Thickness Gauge uses the magnetic induction principle to measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on ferrous substrates. The magnetic induction principle works by measuring the change in magnetic field that occurs when a magnetic probe is brought into close proximity to a ferrous substrate. The thickness of the coating is then calculated based on the change in magnetic field.
